Olive's Sixth Month

Can you even believe that she is already this big! She is definitely a mama's girl, and is starting to experience a more stranger anxiety than she used to for sure. The last month or so, when I go to work out, she isn't so sure about the child care ladies, and sometimes just cries the whole time, but as soon as she sees me she is happy and smiling one again. I'm glad to know that she loves me and she is my best little buddy, but it can make it hard to get anything done when she just likes me so much :)

We went on a hiking adventure with Aunt Elizabeth and Grandma because school is out and we thought we'd get out in nature. After a few failed attempts, we ended up going on a small little walk around the granite quarry trail in Little Cottonwood Canyon.

We went to Olive's first Strawberry Days rodeo events. I was going to enter her in a cute baby contest, but didn't end up doing it because she was taking a nap, and having someone tell me she is the cutest baby (which, duh, we already know) seemed like an invalid reason to wake her.

She loves to watch animals, and screams at them. She has days where all she does is just squeak and scream at everything she sees. Olive can't crawl yet, but is still pretty mobile as she can get where she needs to by rolling. She sits up by herself with no problem...until she sees something she wants and dives for it--sometimes resulting in injury. She dove for a laptop and hit her cheek on it, which was the saddest she's been in a long time.

This is a video of her squeaking like she loves to do so well :)

The end of her sixth month was spent in Florida at Universal Orlando Resort. We went to Harry Potter World (which was amaaazing), and she was a trooper through all the heat and walking. The plane ride was a red eye, so she just slept through it and I was worried she didn't get enough rest, but we went straight to the park, and didn't have any problems at all! She continues to amaze me with how happy she is, and how well she can adjust and adapt to new challenges and changes. We stayed at a place we found on AirBnB and the hosts were great. It seriously could not have been more perfect. We can't wait to go back and take all of our kids, and actually go on rides. I have a hunch that they will all love Harry Potter, and it will be even more magical than the first time!
Who wants to go to Florida?

Olive's Fifth Month

Olive ate her first rice cereal this month. At first, I think she wasn't sure what was going on...but once she got the hang of it, she seemed to enjoy it. and She made a mess of it and got a bunch in her hair. We've only fed it to her a couple times since then, but it's difficult to do because all she wants to do is hold her own spoon. She is going through a phase where she reaches for an grabs just about anything in front of her. She has figured out how to play with all the toys on her ExerSaucer. She can stand up with help, and likes to roll every once in a while.

Olive is an incredible sleeper! She continues to sleep most nights 7-10 hours, because she knows her parents need their sleep :) She is still pretty bald, but who needs hairs when you're this cute!
